First Class/Priority Mail Tracking FAQ

When will my order arrive?

First Class/Priority Mail typically takes 2-6 business days (the day your order is shipped and Sundays are not counted), though this is not guaranteed. We ask that you allow up to 2 weeks for your order to arrive to give the Postal Service a chance to correct any routing mistakes they have made.

Can I track my order?

The postal service usually scans a First Class/Priority Mail package only upon delivery. Sometimes, they will provide information about a package that is in transit. To check the status of your package as of the previous night, please visit the following page and enter the tracking number from the shipment confirmation email that we sent you on the day your order was shipped:

U.S. Postal Service Track and Confirm Page

If you see a Shipment History button, you can click this to see information recorded earlier.

What information can I expect to see on the Delivery Confirmation report?

On the day your order is shipped, you will probably get this

There is no record of that item.

This is normal and doesn't mean there is any problem with your package. Their computer isn't updated with new packages until later in the evening. By the following morning, you should see the following:

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on [date] at [time] to expect your package for mailing.

This sounds like your package hasn't been physically mailed yet, but rest assured it has been mailed. The Postal Service doesn't scan the package when it is dropped off at a postal facility. Because this is a "delivery confirmation" service, there are rarely any scans while the package is in transit. Once it has been delivered, you will see something like this:

Your item was delivered at [time] on [date] in [city], [state] [zip].

When is the tracking report updated?

The postal service updates the status once per night, but because packages are often scanned only upon delivery, the status won't change every day.

Under what circumstances would my package not be delivered in 6 business days?

Bad weather, a routing mistake by the postal service or a typo/mistake in your shipping address are the usual reasons why a package can take longer than usual.

What is First Class Mail and Priority Mail?

Both First Class Mail and Priority Mail are offered by the U.S. Postal Service. The main difference between the two is weight. First Class Mail is only used for packages weighing 13 ounces or less while Priority Mail must be used for packages heavier than that. The speed of delivery between the two services is the same.

Why did you use First Class/Priority Mail to ship my order?

First Class/Priority Mail can be faster than UPS Ground and for this reason, most customers prefer it. For those customers that don't want their orders shipped via the Postal Service, UPS Ground can be specifically chosen on the Shopping Cart page prior to checkout.
